Adoption Support Therapist
I have been a qualified children’s social worker for 25years, in local authority teams, safeguarding and disabilities services, and independent fostering agencies. I began working for AFA about 4 years ago as an independent social worker and have now extended this to the Adoption Support therapy service.
I am a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist, and have a small private practice working with adults and young people. I also deliver specialised safeguarding training to therapists and teach on a number of counselling training course across the UK.
I live near Sheffield, South Yorkshire, and have two grown up children. Out of work my passion is running, especially parkrun, but I love a challenge across all distances. This year I aim to complete 50miles in 24hours!
